Danger of crashing! Watch the end of the rope! The
slack end of the rope has to slide into the machine,
freely without any broken strands.
Stop the lowering motion at least 2 m before the end of
the rope.
Since the lowering work is transformed into heat due to friction, the distance under each
load is limited in order to protect the lowering brake from overheating. The following table
shows the maximum values.
