11. Maintenance

Maintenance, fault finding and repairs only
permissible when carried out by trained
electricians. Call on the services of a trained
electrician any time there is a fault.
Semi-annual inspection of the securing
point is prescribed For maintenance

DANGER
Risk of injury in case of loosened fixing
nuts. Parts of the ceiling fan can fall
down and cause injuries or material
damage.
Therefore, check the fixing screws and nuts
semi-annually for tightness. If fixing
screws are loose, it is imperative to
replace them with new fixing screws
(ISO 7042). These screws are to be
tightened with the specified tightening
torque. In the case of loose screws (e.g.,
pos. [27.3]) spray the screws with locking
varnish and tighten them to the specified
tightening torque.
11.1 Mandatory semi-annual check of
EC 30 E and EC 40 D
1. Check tightness of screws and nuts at the
fixing points I und II, see figure B.
11.2 Mandatory semi-annual check of
EC 90 B and EC 140 B

1. Remove cover plate [13].
2. Check tightness of screws and nuts at the
fixing points I and II  figure C.
3. Attach cover plate [13].

1. Check tightness of screws and nuts at the
fixing points I to V  figure D.

12. Cleaning

The ceiling fan must be cleaned
regularly, especially after longer
downtimes.
1. In case of soiled or irregularly moving
impeller blades (imbalance), clean the
device with a damp cloth.
NOTICE
Unit damage in the case of incorrect
cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents. Clean unit with a soft cloth. Do not
dismantle the protective cage on EC 30 E
and EC 40 D units.
2. Switch off mains fuse, secure against
being accidentally switched back on and
position a visible warning sign. Comply
with the 5 safety regulations.
3. Clean unit with a dry cloth.
In the case of a heavily soiled protective
cage (EC 30 E and EC 40 D), clean the
cage with a damp cloth.
4. Switch on mains fuse, remove warning
sign.

13. Fault rectification

Fault finding and repairs should
only be carried out by trained
electricians.
DANGER
Danger to rotating impeller blades after
cooling down the overload protection.
The ceiling fan starts up automatically
after the fan motor has cooled down.
Do not reach into the area of the impeller
blades.
