3. Eliminate the cause of the faults.
4. Press (6) to reset the system (alarms) and the
LED (8) turns off.
5. Press (2) to set AUTOMATIC mode and the
pump starts up if the pressure of the system is
below the set point. This resets the alarms and,
if an alarm is still active, the LED (8) is illuminat-
ed and the pump is still locked. Repeat steps 1–
5.
WARNING:
• Alarm A1 no water and A4 minimum
pressure are not available in manual
mode and it is possible to press (1) to
run the pump.
• Alarms A3, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9 are
available in MANUAL mode and
when an alarm is triggered, the LED
(8) is illuminated and the pump can-
not be started by pressing (1).
• Alarm A2: if the system is in manual
mode and (1) has been pressed to
run the pump, the pump stops and
the LED (8) is illuminated when the
absorbed current exceeds the set val-
ue.

Causes:
1. No flow of water on the intake side of the pump.
The pump must not run dry because this causes
severe damages.
2. For the MMW and MTW the EL parameter is
enabled and the digital input is open. See
SIC MENU (MB) parameters
3. For the MMA and MTA the EXT.LOW WATER
parameter is enabled and the digital input is
open. See
Advanced menu (ME) parameters

AUTOMATIC mode: Alarm triggered and pump
locked. It is possible to run the pump in manual
mode (2) when the alarm is triggered: press (6),
make sure the LED (8) is off, and press (1). The
pump can be run and primed in this way, but it is im-
portant not to run it on dry for more than 5 seconds.
Solutions:
• Check the working order of the level sensor
(float, minimum pressure switch, optional probe
module panel).
• Check for the presence (level) of water on the in-
take side.
• Check the water pressure on the intake side.

Troubleshooting: The converter supplies current to
the electric motor above the set rated value. The
converter protects the motor against current over-
load.
Solutions:
• Check the condition of the windings of the elec-
tric motor.
• Check the power consumption of the electric mo-
tor.
• Check the cross-section of the motor's power ca-
ble: this must be suited to the length of the cable
and to the power of the motor.
• Check configuration of the rated current parame-
ter.
• The value of the converter's rated current must
be at least equal to the current value on the data
plate. If the power cable for the motor is longer
than 30 meters, it is advisable to increase the
value by a minimum of 10%.

WARNING:
If the value is not configured correctly,
the motor might NOT be protected
against overload and could suffer irrepar-
able damage.
