8. Inserting/Replacing Batteries

• Open the casing by first unscrewing the single screw (1) on the right side. Then carefully
fold apart the two casing halves by about 45° until the upper part of the casing can be
lifted off.
• Insert two type AA/mignon batteries with correct polarity into the battery compartment (7)
(observe positive/+ and negative/-). Observe the designation in the battery compartment.

At initial commissioning, leave the casing open and first mount the lower part of
the casing on the wall or connect the consumer with the screw terminals.
Observe the following chapters.
• Close the casing by placing the upper part with the catches (8) on the two corresponding
openings in the lower casing part at an angle of about 45° and then closing the upper part
of the casing. Retighten the screw (1) turned out in the beginning.
• A change of battery is necessary if the contrast of the display decreases or if no indication
appears on the display any more.
