5.3.2 Automatic storage mode
The instrument can store gas concentration measurements automatically, as samples 0 to 499. To
enter automatic data acquisition mode, hold down the "MODE" key while pressing the "STORE" key.
The letters "Sto" will appear on the LCD for about two seconds.
To end automatic data acquisition mode, hold down the "MODE" key while pressing the "STORE"
key. The letters "End" on the LCD will appear.
Automatic storage can be set to "Timer" mode where the sampling interval is a pre-set value from
30 seconds to 1 hour, or "Events" mode where samples are stored when a specific events occurs
(such as an Alarm or a Thermal cut-off).
Note: When 500 samples are stored, the instrument recycles the memory, meaning the next measurement
replaces the oldest one. Thus, the memory contain a continuously updated set of 500 measurements, while the old
ones are lost.

5.3.3 Memory recall

Use the instrument to view the stored measurements. To activate "Memory Recall", hold down the
"MODE" key while pressing the up arrow key. "Rcl" will be displayed on the LCD.
• Scroll through the stored data using the arrow keys
• Push the "STORE" key to see a measurement
• Press "STORE" again brings next stored measurement
To return to measurement mode, hold down the "MODE" key while pressing the up arrow key. The
letters "End" will be displayed on the LCD.
Section 6 ATEX 3660 operating software
The ATEX 3660 software is an integral part of the 3660EX and 3662EX analyzer. Running under
®
Microsoft Windows
, this software provides:
• On-line monitoring of the measurements
• Downloading stored measurement from the instrument to PC
• Reviewing and setting up instrument configuration
• System troubleshooting
After installation, a program group labeled "Orbisphere" is available. Select the ATEX 3660 icon to
start the ATEX 3660 software.

6.1 Software installation

To start the installation, insert the supplied software disc into the A:/ drive (or equivalent).
1. Select Run from the Start menu.
2. Enter A:\SETUP.EXE in the Run dialog box (A:/ or applicable disc drive).
3. Click OK to start the installation.
4. Follow instructions on screen.
6.2 File menu
The File menu serves typical Windows file management needs, like open, save, close, or print data
files.
Data file saved as text files (".txt") can be recalled by the ATEX 3660 software, or imported into other
Windows software. When saving a file, a dialog box appears asking for an 8 digit file name (the ".txt"
suffix is automatically attached). If previous files are present, they appear as greyed out in the list.
