During renovation, construction and
grinding works, the smoke alarm device
with radio link (if possible) must be re-
moved by a slight vertical pull from the
magnetic holder (Illus. 1 point b) and
stored safely, possibly covered with an
appropriate cover.
After ending the works, affix the smoke
alarm devices with radio links in their
original room with the magnetic holder
without delay (Illus. 1 point b) and remo-
ve the safety cover.
Please note:
The device can send out life-saving war-
ning signals only if it is attached to its
original installation position uncontami-
nated, undamaged and activated.

Decoration
The cover of the test/stop button (Illus. 1
point d) of the smoke alarm device with
radio link can be removed (Illus. 3) and
can be decorated to match the décor
of the room. Please only decorate this
removable cover of the device and ne-
ver the other areas of the smoke alarm
device with radio link. After decorating,
fasten the cover of test/stop button (Illus.
1 point d) on the device.
Attention! The smoke inlets around the
alarm (Illus. 1 point c) must always be
free and must never be covered.
The type label of the device is under the
removable cover of the test/stop button
(Illus. 1 point d).
Proper use
Use the device only to identify smoke
and heat in inhabited properties and for
forwarding the alarms! Any other use not
specified in this manual as expressly per-
missible is improper. This device may only
be used for the following purpose(s):
Fire and smoke detection in private
households and inhabited properties
including alarm forwarding via radio
connection.
The installation of the device in inhabi-
table recreation vehicles (e.g. caravans)
has been tested.
This smoke alarm device with radio link
has a heat warning function. It is, howe-
ver, not a heat alarm system in line with
EN 54-5
This smoke alarm device with radio
link can be connected to a radio group
or collective radio group that send out
the alarm of a smoke alarm device with
radio link as a group alarm by radio for-
warding the alarm.
The smoke alarm device with radio link
is, however, not a wireless smoke/fire
alarm system in line with EN 54-25.
