concerned smoke alarm device with ra-
dio link can also reach the device activa-
ted with the master function indirectly
through the signal forwarding function
(routing-repeating function) of the other
activated smoke alarm devices with ra-
dio links in the connection mode (the
radio LED shows a regular, long, yellow
interval).
If the smoke alarm device with radio link
makes a direct or indirect contact with
the device with activated master functi-
on and therefore has a radio connection
with at least one of the remaining smoke
alarm devices with radio links for crea-
ting the radio group, it is confirmed with
a green radio LED light.
After this green confirmation, the radio
LED changes to a regular, long, yellow in-
terval which shows that the connection
mode is (also) activated for this device
en
now and the device is ready to connect
to other smoke alarm devices with radio
links to form a radio group.
You can now continue with further ins-
tallation out of the radio group.
The remaining time span for the more
structuring of the radio group extends
with each new device as soon as it is in-
cluded in the radio group with activated
connection mode and by 10 minutes for
all devices already in the radio group and
with connection mode activated.
To add more smoke alarm devices with
radio links to the radio group, repeat the
procedure given in this section. Up to 15
smoke alarm devices with radio links can
be connected to one radio group.
If a smoke alarm device with radio link
shows a red signal when it is activated in
the planned installation position when
connected to the short yellow interval
of the radio LED, the planned installa-
tion position for this device is outside
of the radio range which enables it to
be connected to the device in the ra-
dio group.
This means that there is no other smoke
alarm device with radio link in the ran-
ge, which, directly or indirectly, enables
via signal forwarding (routing-repeating
function) an access to the device acti-
vated with the master function or you
have overshot the connection mode
time span available for creating the ra-
dio group.
If the radio LED shows a red signal,
check whether the other smoke alarm
devices with radio links of the group
are (still) in connection mode displayed
constantly with a regular, long, yellow
interval of the radio LED. If this is not
the case, please follow the instruction in
section Expanding radio group/activating
connection mode and „Repeat connec-
tion attempt".
