Drilling
Leave the adhesive tape on the magnetic
holder. Make a hole in the installation po-
sition and guide the dowel pin provided
into the drilled hole. Now guide the pro-
vided counter-sunk screw through the
backside of the magnetic holder shown
in illustration 2 so that the screw finds a
level bed in the magnetic holder (Illus. 1
point b) while turning in the dowel pin
(burr the screw the perforated hole). The
screw must be turned in completely in
the slot of the magnetic holder (Illus. 1
point b) to ensure the device is attached
securely. Fasten the screw in such a way
that the magnetic holder does not bend
or deform.
Commissioning of the first smoke alarm device
with radio link, master function and setting up a
radio group
CAUTION!
Activate the smoke alarm device with
radio link only in accordance with the
instructions below for commissioning
the devices and setting up a group made
of multiple smoke alarm devices with
radio links (radio group) exclusively, in
a series and in immediate proximity to
the planned assembly position, i.e., the
room in which the smoke alarm device
with radio link is also going to be used.
These radio alarm systems should not
be operated with a direct distance of
less than two to three meters from each
other since otherwise the radio signals
could overlap and the smoke alarm de-
vices with radio links would not be ab-
le to establish radio connections with
each other.
A radio group comprises of at least two
and maximum fifteen inter-connected
smoke alarm devices with radio links per
radio connection.
All smoke alarm devices with radio links
connected to a radio group give out a
loud alarm signal if at least one smoke
alarm device with radio link in the radio
group identifies fire-related smoke or
temperatures.
If a radio group is established, the - first -
smoke alarm device with radio link will
be assigned a so-called master function
only for the duration of the setting up
of the radio group. This means that this
first device (as master) will manage the
structure of the radio group.
