MAINTENANCE

7.1 Inspection

The installed D-Bolt anchor Bolt (AP-058, AP-058-DE, AP-US-058; AP-063-GE, AP-063-GE-DE, AP-US-063-.GE,
AP-063-GPS, AP-063-GPS-DE und AP-US-063-GPS) must be checked by a technical expert as necessary
(contamination, damage), however, at least once a year.
A technical expert has sufficient knowledge in the field of personal protective equipment by training and experience. It
must be ensured that this expert has the knowledge to assess the safe condition of the fall protection and is familiar
with the relevant guidelines and generally recognized technical rules (e.g. EN standards). This person must be familiar

SKYLOTEC GmbH shall not assume any liability whatsoever unless the prescribed maintenance intervals are
observed.

7.2 Maintenance during use

The system and system components must be in an undamaged, corrosion-free state. Damaged, bent, or compromised
components due to a fall must no longer be used. Non-observance may result in a danger to life and limb.
All of the threaded fittings and adhesive connections should be continuously checked for secure fit.
In the event of defects, the anchoring point must not be used. It must be inspected by a technical expert and repaired, if
necessary.

7.3 Maintenance and care

The D-Bolt anchor points do not require special care (this also applies to transport and storage

7.4 Service life

The service life of the product depends on the individual conditions of use. The D-Bolt AP-058, AP-058-DE and

AP-063-GPS; AP-063-GPS-DE and AP-US-063-GPS are made from V4A stainless steel and are either powder coated

For stainless steel types, slight surface rust near coastal areas does not constitute a material defect.
Regular cleaning (with water or a dry cloth) is beneficial with regard to service life, in that aggressive substances are
removed from the surface, thereby protecting it from premature ageing.
Under optimum operating conditions, a total service life of a maximum of 15 years is possible.
During system inspection, a technical expert decides on the further service life.
After a fall, the anchor point may no longer be used.
8.

WARRANTY

Under normal conditions, the warranty period is 1 year. The materials used are not resistant under extremely
aggressive conditions such as e.g. constant, alternating immersion into sea water or within proximity of sea water
spray, chlorinated atmospheres in indoor pools, or atmospheres extremely polluted with chemicals, rendering any
warranty void.
In the event of a fall, the warranty claim shall forfeit, since the components are designed in such a way that their
energy-absorbing effect comes at the price of deformation. After a fall, the entire system must be inspected and
components affected must be replaced.
Note: The manufacturer's product liability does not extend to property damage or bodily injury
that may occur even with proper function and use of personal protective equipment against
falls. If the equipment is modified or this manual or the applicable accident prevention
regulations is/are or not complied with, the extended product liability coverage of the
manufacturer will be rendered null and void.
