d) The First Landing
Like the first flight, the first landing should always be done against the wind. Reduce the motor speed and fly big and flat circles. Do not pull on the elevator too
hard to reduce the flying altitude slowly.
Select the last curve before the landing approach so that you have sufficient room for landing and the course does not have to be changed significantly when
landing. When the model is flying along the planned landing line, reduce the motor speed further and keep the model in a horizontal position using the elevator.
The model should continue to descend and fly towards the planned touch down point at the end of the imaginary landing line.
Especially in this critical flying phase, always ensure sufficient flying speed (see "The first flight - stall") and do not slow down the model too much by reducing
the motor speed too abruptly or pulling the elevator too hard.
It is only shortly before touch-down that the motor is stopped and the model lands with the elevator fully pulled.
13. Connecting Transmitter and Receiver
At delivery, your transmitter is already connected to your receiver. However, the receiver may not react to the transmitter control signals. In this case, you need
to bind the receiver to the transmitter again.
Proceed as follows:
• Place receiver and transmitter close together (no more than 1 meter distance).
• Keep the button at the receiver pressed for approx. two seconds.
• Release the button when the LED at the receiver flashes quickly.
• Keep the PDM button pressed and turn on the transmitter.
• Release the PDM button and press it again briefly.
• The LED at the receiver is lit permanently and signals that receiver and transmitter were successfully connected.
• After binding, check the system's function and range.
14. Changing the Transmitter ID
Your transmitter has a fixed ID at delivery. This ID is a digital code for encrypting the transmitter signals.
Should you need to change this code, proceed as follows:
• Keep the "PDM" button pressed and turn on the transmitter.
• The red LED flashes thrice quickly, then both LEDs will flash alternatingly. Release the button.
• Shortly press the "PDM" button. A new ID is generated and the green LED flashes quickly thrice.
• The new ID will only become active when the transmitter is switched off and on again
Remember that your receiver has to be bound to the transmitter again after the ID was changed! (see chapter 13)
