CAN IN
The Z21 CAN HUB is connected with the Z21 or with the CAN OUT of another Z21 CAN HUB via this port.
WARNING: Never connect the CAN IN with one of the Z-CAN OUTs of a different Z21 CAN HUB.
CAN OUT
Further Z21 CAN devices can be connected to these three ports. These are also supplied with a total of
12V 2A.
In total, seven Z21 boosters can be connected here. It is immaterial whether these are connected between
the Z21 and the Z21 CAN HUB or at the CAN OUT interfaces. If you wish to use more than seven Z21
boosters, please see Z-CAN OUT.
NOTE: Distribute the load of the Z21 Detector across the CAN OUT ports. No more than 20 10808
Z21 Detectors should be connected per CAN OUT port. In total, up to 45 pcs.10808 Z21 Detectors
are possible per Z21 CAN HUB.
Z-CAN OUT
The booster signal is amplified at this port. Therefore, if you wish to use more than the seven Z21 boosters
described above, please see this port. You can connect a further 20 pcs. Z21 boosters at these ports. Of
course, you can also connect Z21 Detectors at this port.
Power
Exclusively switching power supplies with DC voltage outputs should be used to supply the Z21 CAN HUB.
The Z21 CAN HUB may under no circumstances be supplied with AC voltage such as that for example from
a conventional transformer.
Switching power supply:
Voltage: 14-24V DC
Output current: min. 2A
NOTE: We recommend the ROCO switching power supply 10850
