Z21 CAN HUB
Installation of the Z21 CAN HUB
Never install the Z21 CAN HUB close to strong sources of heat such as radiators or places subject to direct
sunlight. This Z21 CAN HUB has been developed exclusively for dry interiors. Therefore, do not operate the
Z21 CAN HUB in areas subject to major temperature and/or air humidity fluctuations.
Tip: Use screws with a round head
for installation of the Z21 CAN
HUB, e.g. 3 x 30 mm.

CAN line lengths
The maximum line length results from the internal resistance of the cable and the CAN devices. Exception:
The Z21 single BOOSTER 10806 and the Z21 dual BOOSTER 10807, on the other hand, do not subject the
CAN BUS to load.

NOTE: Ensure that the entire line length of the complete CAN BUS, i.e. All CAN bus cables added
together, does not total more than 300 metres.
NOTE: Only use cables with 8-pole RJ45 plugs such as the CAN bus cable 10753, otherwise the
ports may be damaged. The cable cross-section should be AWG26, or AWG24 for longer cables.
Never use crossover network cables!
