PREPARATION

* Remove the bumper.
° Mondeo 4-door / 5-door SW :
* 3 bolts on the end of the wing
* 2 plastic clips under the bumper
* 2 bolts at boot level
° Galaxy / S-Max :
* 4 bolts on the end of the wing
* 2 bolts underneath
* 6 bolts on top of the boot.
* Remove and discard the absorber.
* Unhook the exhaust pipe.
* Make a cut in the bumper as shown in the model :
° SW : Detail 1.
° Galaxy : Detail 2.
* Cut the bumper reinforcer at both ends (Detail 3).
° S-Max : Detail 4.
ASSEMBLY
* Insert the arms inside the side-members at the vehicle's fastening points
(close-up 5), and then fasten them, without tightening, at the points
concerned using the respective bolting blocks.
* Mount the towing unit at the vehicle's specific fastening points (close-up 5),
and then fasten it, without tightening, with the respective bolting kits.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
TORQUES :
AC10.9 11,4daNm M8 AC8.8
AC8.8 4,7daNm M8 AC10.9
AC10.9 6,7daNm
FINISHING
* Tighten everything to the torques indicated below, and in the following order :
X-X1 / W-W1 / V-V1 / U-U1.
* Refit the components removed previously.
* Fasten the coupling head and the socket support using bolting block Y.
