en - Cleaning and waxing recommendations
The heater plate on ironers that are being used for 8-hour shifts must
be cleaned 2–3 times a week.
Always wax the heater plate after cleaning. Furthermore, the heater
plate should be waxed after approx. 8 operating hours. This should
be carried out before starting work.
For new ironers, the heater plate should be cleaned and waxed at
shorter intervals.
Shorter cleaning intervals may also be required if there is increased
foreign matter contamination in the environment.
The heater plate must also be cleaned if the ironed laundry is being
soiled by burnt plastics (e.g. buttons), detergent and starch residues
or limescale on the heater plate. It will also need to be cleaned if
starch deposits form on the laundry pickers.
Cleaning the heater plate
The Miele cleaning cloth (Mat. no. 03 909 300) can be used if the
heater plate is soiled with starch residues or limescale, for example.
Since the cleaning cloth is narrower than the heater plate, you can-
not clean the entire width of the heater plate by feeding the cloth
through once. You need to feed the cloth through the ironer several
times, and move it from side to side.

Set the temperature to the temperature range or, if applicable, set
the cleaning programme on the ironer (up to a maximum of
100 °C, see the operating instructions).
Tip: You can loosen incrustations such as starch residues by feeding
a cloth soaked in lukewarm water through the ironer first.
