Making calls

If reception is poor when you
press TALK/DIAL, you will hear
five short error beeps ("OUT OF
RANGE" will also appear on the
display). In this case, move closer
to the base unit to improve
reception.
!
If reception becomes poor during
conversation, you will hear a
beep (the out-of-range alarm)
every second. If this happens,
move closer to the base unit;
otherwise, the call will be
disconnected after 15 seconds.
Note, however, that you may not
hear beeps if it is noisy on the
handset.

Receiving calls

The handset will not ring on an
incoming call ("**RINGING**"
will not appear on the display,
either) if the RING ON/BATT
SAVE switch is set to BATT
SAVE. However, you can receive
calls by pressing TALK/DIAL.

Press TALK/DIAL.
"CONNECTING" flashes on the display, and then you
hear a dial tone.
The talk time appears on the display.

Dial the phone number.

When you finish talking, press OFF.
The talk time disappears from the display.
Receiving calls on the handset is easy: just press TALK/DIAL.

When you hear the phone ring (at the same
time, "**RINGING**" appears on the display),
press TALK/DIAL.
The talk time appears on the display.
