Fans
Fans are not included in the basic package. For the
best results, one fan per extraction unit is recom-
mended. It is also possible to connect several units
to a central fan.
To get underpressure in the ducting system and
avoid exhaust leakage, the fan should be positioned
as near the duct outlet from the room as possible.
Please contact your Nederman representative for
advice on fan selection.
A lockable safety switch is recommended for
the electrical system including the fan.

The exhaust hose
Cutting the exhaust hose is not recommended.
If it yet is cut, it is important that the internal
compressed air hose is cut by the same length.
The compressed air hose must, after cutting, be
1,0 m (3 ft 3 in) longer than the exhaust hose.
The exhaust pipe
The edge of the exhaust pipe must have a free
distance to surrounding vehicle parts. See recom-
mendations, picture X2 on page 3. Check that the
nozzle, after the disconnection, does not catch any
part of the vehicle. It is possible that modifications
may be required to the exhaust system to ensure the
optimum position of the exhaust pipe.
Recommended diameter of the exhaust pipe:
50 – 85 mm (2 – 3 1/3 in) for the 125 mm (5 in) nozzle
70 – 125 mm (2 2/3 – 5 in) for the 160 mm (6 1/3 in)
nozzle

Compressed air connection

See diagram for compressed air, page 6.
Make sure that the existing compressed air
piping is clean and connect compressed air,
6 – 8 bar (87 – 116 psi), to the disconnection
valve (see picture no. 14 on page 5).
Disconnect the nozzle kit. Adjust the mano-
meter on the pressure regulator (see picture
at X3 on page 5) to 1 bar (14,5 psi). Reconnect
the nozzle kit.
The pneumatic components must only be
used with carefully prepared compressed air.
Use water- and oil separator with automatic
draining and air filtration according to DIN
ISO 8573-1, class 5/5/4.
Safety coupling
The system is equipped with a safety coupling
which disconnects the hose if the nozzle for some
reason does not disconnect from the exhaust pipe
when the vehicle exits from the station. The discon-
nection force is factory set to 500 N (112 lbs).
Before reattaching the safety coupling, pull the
key-ring on the hose just above the safety coupling.
A manual disconnection is also possible by pulling
the key-ring.
