• If the "FHT 8W" relay connection is not to be used, then the second unused cable input must be
sealed with the plug supplied with the device.
• The connection cables must be laid in front of the connection clamps such that they do not interfere
with the electronics of the device. This is particularly important for cables protruding upwards into
the controller circuitboard area or sideways between the mains connection and the relay connection.
If you are unable to ensure a safe distance between cables then double-insulation will be required.
This can be achieved by placing silicon or fibreglass tubing over the cable areas no longer covered
by cable insulation.
• Wire the mains cable and load connection as show above with the mains supply, the load and the
fuse. Fasten the cable by tightening the cable inputs and appropriate fastening to the wall, e.g. with
cable clamps and cable conduits.
Please note:
The mains and load connections may not be connected to one another inside the
"FHT 8W" and be connected to the mains supply together. Cabling for both must be
carried out as in the diagram supplied and should be connected to the mains supply
separately e.g. using distribution plugs.
• Insert the control circuitboard into the device again. Ensure that the three plug-in contacts are
inserted into the base plate jack strip.
Reattach the control circuitboard with the four plastic hexagonal bolts (4).
• Attach the front plate and fasten it with the four plastic screws (1).
• Switch the mains supply on and check whether the display is activated (first all segments and then
the version number and then the function display).
If this is not the case then switch the mains supply completely off, open the housing and remove the
circuitboard as described above and check whether the three connection plugs are correctly
attached to the contacts in the jack plug in the base plate.
Do not switch the mains supply back on until you have reattached the control
circuitboard and fully fastened the front plate!
• After the configuration of the device (see chapter "Operation") replace the housing cover and attach
it with the corresponding screws. Make sure that the rubber seal sits correctly in the cover slot and
that the seal joint is facing downwards.
