7. Mounting

a) Warnings and Safety
The installation and commissioning of the device involving work with mains power
should only be carried out by a trained electrical technician (e.g. electrician).
All national standards and guidelines (e.g. VDE) and accident prevention measures
must be observed.
Improper work carried out at mains voltage endangers not only your life but also the
lives of others!
The installation may only be carried out with the mains power disconnected/deactivated
condition.
Turn the power completely off and remove the electric circuit fuse or switch off the
circuit breaker. Secure it against any unauthorised reconnection, e.g. with a danger
sign. Switch off the associated overload fuse as well.
Check that the mains connection is not carrying power e.g. with an appropriate tester.
The connection of the device to a heating system may only be carried out by an
appropriately qualified technician trained in heating system installation.
Incorrect installation not only risks destroying the product but also increases the risk
of a fatal electric shock and other dangers which can occur as a result of an incorrectly
operated heating system.
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it yourself
but ask a qualified technician.
b) Selecting an installation location
• The IP65 construction/housing means the device is suitable for mounting in dry and damp rooms.
• The installation location should be selected so that all thermostats can be easily received. If
necessary you should test this before attaching the device.
