Maintenance of removable hanging seat with lift-up feature
In purchasing the HEWI removable hanging seat, you have chosen a high-quality product. The
seat is easy to transport and install. The seat surface folds up and down without any brake con-
trol. No special maintenance is required.
Seat height adjustment occurs by operating a spring-loaded securing bolt. Correct seat functio-
nality should be checked once every year (firm mounting of spring-loaded securing bolt in seat
bracket and effectiveness of spring) - see also "Seat height adjustment" section.
The folding seat should be taken out of service immediately and repaired by qualified specialists
if the spring is no longer effective. In such cases, HEWI's after-sales service team on

Unprofessional repair work can result in accidents with persons suffering potentially serious inju-
ry. Furthermore, the entire system used to fasten the seat to the wall must be checked to ensu-
re that it is in good working order.
Damage in transit
The seat leaves the factory in a perfect condition. When the customer takes possession of it,
he/she should examine it for any damage that may have occurred in transit. Any defects have to
be reported immediately to ensure that no potentially severe impairment to the seat functionali-
ty can subsequently occur, thus eliminating the risk of persons suffering serious injury. The sur-
face of the seat is sensitive and can suffer scratching caused by dust or dirt on or near the instal-
lation site. Keep the seat in its packaging whenever possible.
Exclusion of liability
HEWI accepts no liability whatsoever for damage to persons or property that occurs or has
occurred as a result of the improper installation, use or maintenance of the company's remova-
ble hanging seats, particularly if the safety instructions and other points to note listed above are
not or have not been observed in full.
