4 Installation of VVX
Before installing the VVX, check that
 the wetted materials of the device are suitable for the media being used ( § 9.2
"Materials table").
 the equipment is switched off and is in a safe and de-energised state.
 the equipment is depressurised and has cooled down.
SUITABLE TOOLS:
 Use only suitable tools of the correct size.

4.1 Installation instructions

CAUTION! Risk of malfunction due to bubbles and cavitation!
Bubble formation and cavitation in the medium can cause sensor malfunction and should
be avoided.
 The system pressure must be three times the pressure drop at maximum flow
( "Pressure drop").
• The VVX can theoretically be installed at any location on a straight pipe.
•
The unit can be installed in both horizontal as well as vertical pipelines. The flow sen-
sor is only suitable for use in fully filled piping.
