Resetting the end limits
The Becker programming handset for drives with electronic limit switching is required to delete the internal memory. This al-
lows you to reset the tubular drive to the delivery status (RESET).
If you press the programming button
The tubular drive confirms the delete process by a clearly audible double "click". The tubular drive can then be operated in
both directions, unless the drive recognises that the top end limit has been reached.
To reposition the end limits, please follow the procedure described on page 18.
Note
Becker tubular drives are designed for short-time operation (S2/KB 4 min). A fitted thermo protection
switch prevents overheating of the tubular drive. During commissioning (long drop distance or long run-
ning time), triggering of the thermoswitch may occur. The drive is then switched off. After a short coo-
ling-down period, the system is ready for operation again.
Operating time will be shorter if the drive has not yet completely cooled down.
B.) Curtain suspension with springs:
Allow the drive to turn in the down direction until the roller shutter curtain has reached
its bottom end limit, and switch the drive off (Fig. 10B). The bottom end limit can be
finely adjusted.
Note
If the tubular drive switches off prematurely during descent due to
an obstacle, you should raise the roller shutter, remove the obstacle
and set the bottom end limit by lowering the shutter again.
Now return the drive to the top end limit without interruption (Fig. 11B).
Note
If the tubular drive switches off prematurely during ascent due to an
obstacle, you should lower the roller shutter, remove the obstacle
and move to the top end limit by raising the shutter again.
The bottom end limit must not be overrun during free movement in
the DOWN direction! However, if this should occur, then the bottom
end limit must be reset as described above.
Installation is now complete!
The electronic limit switching has stored the window height and the end limits. The
Torque recognition is activated. The programming button on the programming hand-
set must not be pressed again.
As a final check, allow the roller shutter to move in both directions as far as the end
limit. The roller shutter curtain must run smoothly and trouble-free.
If locking straps are fitted, check that they function perfectly, in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions. They must be securely engaged and press the curtain
onto the window sill. The locking strap must press the top lath in an upright position
against the roller shutter box (Fig. 12).
for at least 1 second, the end limits programmed during installation will be deleted.
