6.2 ADDING MORE WOOD
7. CLEANING AND CARING FOR YOUR STOVE
Empty the ash drawer as soon as it is
full. Only empty when the stove is
cold into a fireproof container
(embers - fire hazard). If necessary
you can clean the window with a
moist cloth and some ashes. Repeat
for stubborn soiling or use a special
flue window cleaner. When using a
fireplace glass cleaner, please make
sure no liquid enters the space
between the window and the door
chassis. The liquid can damage the
printing on the window.
Opening the firin room door for clean-
ing purposes also opens the air sup-
ply fla . We recommend cleaning the
stove before it is fi ed again.
Rough surfaces on the outer cladding
can be vacuumed off with an uphol-
stery attachment. Polished surfaces
are cleaned with a spray-wet cloth. The
provided cleaning stone is used to re-
move stubborn soiling. Under no circum-
stances must you use hard brushes or
chemical cleaning agents. The optimal
functionality can be assured only when
the chimney, stovepipe, and stove are
cleaned at least once a year.
When you want to heat for longer, pile on 1-2 wooden logs once, to prevent the
exhaust gas temperature from increasing and thereby reducing the effectiveness
of your storage heater. Do not add more than 2kg/hour.
Slowly open the firing chamber door, first a gap, so that the pressure in the firing
chamber is equalised. This helps to prevent ash from flying into the room.
Distribute the basic firebed evenly over the oven grid, place one or two pieces of
firewood against the rear wall of the combustion chamber, and release the firing
chamber door. The new firewood ignites in a few minutes and burns from bottom
to top.
No more than 2 kg of firewood may be added per hour. No firewood may be added
when the basic firebed is higher than the ash shield.
If the wood is completely burned, and there are only residual embers in the
fireplace, you close the ventilation valve by pressing the manual ventilation
adjusting device.
This results in a long -lasting heat emission from the radiating heat. If the
ventilation valve is not manually closed, it closes automatically after the fire is
extinguished.
NOTE!
Opening the firing chamber door always and automatically opens the
air supply flap. This closes again when the firewood has burned
completely and there are only embers in the firing chamber.
!
You must ensure that a window in the room is open in the
event of operation with ambient air.
