8.2. Checks before driving

8.2.1. Checking the brakes

Each time before setting off, check that the brakes work properly.
With the brakes applied, the wheelchair cannot be pushed on dry sur-
faces. When the brakes are released, the wheelchair runs without scra-
ping noises and good directional stability.
If this is not the case, notify your dealer immediately and stop using the
wheelchair until it has been serviced!

8.2.2. Checking the tyres

Each time before setting off, check the tyres for damage and that the
air pressure is correct (see Chapter 4.8.2).
9. Adjustment work for the specia-
lised retailer
The adjustment work outlined in this chapter affect safety-related cri-
teria of your product and must therefore only be carried out by trained
professionals.
9.1. Centre of gravity, seat angle
and seat height

9.1.1. Adjusting the drive wheel

The position of the drive wheel affects the driving characteristics of
your wheelchair.
Change the position of the drive wheel.
Vertical: Adjusting the seat height and angle (Fig. 40).
Horizontal: Adjusting the centre of gravity position (Fig. 41).
