Fold the brake lever to the rear when transferring to
the side (Fig. 33).
The dealer can adjust the brake and assemble
the brake lever extension by using the assembly
instructions.
The parking brake - with or without brake lever
extension - only works on one drive wheel and must
therefore always be used on both sides!
Never use the brake lever as a support - e.g. when
transferring or standing up -, otherwise there is a
risk of tipping over and falling! The lever could
break off!
4.7.3. Drum brake (optional)
As an option, the wheelchair can be fitted with a drum brake which
can only be operated by an attendant using the brake lever on the
push handles (Fig. 34).
