The Fan
The toilet is equipped with a fan that serves several different purposes in the toilet.
• When no programme is running, and the toilet is in standby mode, the fan constantly operates at
low speed. The purpose of this is to let moisture ventilate out of the toilet and to prevent cold air
from getting in to the toilet through the pipe.
• When an incineration programme is running, the fan draws air through the incineration chamber
to constantly add oxygen to the incineration process. This also enables hot air and smoke to flow
through the pipe and out of the chamber
• IMPORTANT! As long as the toilet is attached to the ventilation pipe, the power should be turned
on. When the fan spins, it prevents moist air from entering the toilet. If the power is turned off, the
toilet should be disconnected from the pipe and the pipe plugged to prevent moist air from entering.
The start button
The start button is located on the top of the toilet. The button has three main functions.
1. The start button is used for starting a new programme or to add time to the incineration phase if
the toilet is used while a programme is running.
2. The integrated LED light is used to inform the user of the toilet's current status, for example, pro-
gramme running, standby mode or that a message is displayed.
3. If a message is showing on the display on the back of the toilet, the user must acknowledge that
they have read it before the toilet can be used again. This is done by pressing and holding the
button for ten seconds. NOTE! There are some messages that cannot be acknowledged this way.
The LED light indicates the current status in the following way:
• No light = Message is being displayed (or no power), (check display before use)
• Rapid intermittent flashing = Programme started or time added, (press the button)
• Steady light = Standby mode (toilet can be used)
• Slowly shifting between full brightness and half brightness = Programme running (toilet can be
used)
The control panel
The electronic features of the toilet are controlled by the control panel located on the side of the toilet.
The user has access to the control panel. The user mainly uses the control panel display. It will display
different messages reminding the user to empty the ash pan, clean the toilet or service the toilet.
Should something go wrong with the toilet, an error message will appear on the display. The user is
notified that something has appeared on the display when the start-button turns off. To acknowled-
ge the error message, the start button must be pressed and held for ten seconds, alternatively the
message can be acknowledged using the arrow down button.
During the incineration programme, the current temperature in the incineration chamber is disp-
layed. When the heating indicator light is on, the heating element is switched on.
