10. Trouble Shooting

In this section problems and faults are
described which you may remove your-
self. If the measures detailed here do not
solve the problem, see under "Repairs".
A
Danger!
Many accidents happen partic-
ularly in connection with problems
and faults. Therefore please note:
Always unplug before servicing.
Check that all safety devices are
operational again after each fault
service.
Motor does not run
No mains voltage
Check cables, plug, outlet and
mains fuse.
Undervoltage relay tripped by power fail-
ure.
Switch on again.
Motor locked, e.g. by a blocked saw
blade:
Remove cause, then start saw
again.
Loss of cutting performance
Saw blade blunt (possibly tempering
marks on blade body):
Replace saw blade (see "Saw blade
change").

Obstruction by chips
No dust collector hooked up:
Connect dust collector.
Chip build-up in chip case:
With the dust collector running,
crank saw blade into lowermost
position, remove the cover plate
from sawhead carriage, clean the
chipcase, and replace the cover
plate afterwards.
Radial pull action sticky
Guide elements dirty:
Clean guide elements and apply
light coat of oil.
Incorrect compensation adjustment of
the blade return action.
Correct
compensation
adjusting screw.

11. Repairs

A
Danger!
Repairs to electric tools must
be carried out by qualified electri-
cians only!
Electric tools in need of repair can be
sent to the service centre of your coun-
try. Refer to the spare parts list for the
address.
Please attach a description of the fault to
the electric tool.

13. Environmental Protection

The machine's packaging can be 100%
recycled.
Worn out power tools and accessories
contain considerable amounts of valua-
ble raw and rubber materials, which can
be recycled.
These instructions are printed on paper
produced with elemental chlorine free
bleaching process.
