9. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE

□ There must be no water left in the high pressure washer for long periods of time. Deposits or
minerals can settle down on parts of the pump and damage it.
Please keep to the following procedure before storing your high pressure washer for at least 30 days:
9.1. EMPTYING THE WATER CIRCUIT
In case the high pressure washer has not been used for a long time, follow the below procedure:
1.
Operate the pump, using fresh water, during several minutes;
2.
Operate the pump, without water, during 10 seconds, the delivery output being opened, to empty
the pump and the delivery pipes, to prevent the building of limestone;
3.
To wash the pump, use only water and solvents authorised by the regulations;
4.
Dry the pump using compressed air;
5.
Protect the pump against bad weather.
9.2. EMPTYING THE FUEL CIRCUIT (GASOLINE)
1.
Untighten the screw of the float chamber [Fig. 24];
2.
Thoroughly let fuel flow out of the tank into a convenient container;
3.
Tighten the screw of the float chamber [Fig. 24].
9.3. EMPTYING THE ENGINE OIL
Replace used oil with new oil (see section 8.1.);
9.4. CLEANING
1.
Clean the high pressure washer using an oil-soaked cloth.
2.
Disconnect the spark plug cap.
3.
Pull the starter rope until you feel it is difficult (engine compression so that the valves are closed
to prevent anu oxidization) then leave the engine in this position.
4.
Store the high pressure washer in a well ventilated, clean and dry room.
□ Never use the high pressure output to wash the high pressure washer.
