□ Always use detergents specially designed for high pressure washers. Household detergents can
damage the pump. Use the detergent solution according to manufacturer's instructions.
1. Immerse the PVC pipe strainer [Fig. 17] into the detergent;
2. To suck up the detergent, switch to low pressure, using the handle of the lance [Fig. 16] or the
nozzle support, depending on the model;
3. Press the gun to suck up the detergent and automatically mix it with water;
4. Increase or reduce the amount of detergent by turning the wheel from the bypass. [(c) Fig. B]
5. To stop sucking the detergent, switch to high pressure. [Fig. 16]
□ In case you do not use the high pressure washer for a long time, you must rinse it, using fresh
water, to remove the detergent and prevent any deposit of chemicals.

6. STOPPING THE HIGH PRESSURE WASHER

■ Prior to disconnecting the water fittings, make sure the high pressure washer has stopped, the
water supplied valve is closed and the water remaining into the high pressure washer has been
emptied.
■ Never disconnect the fittings when the high pressure washer is running.
□ In case the ambient temperature is close to 0°C, operate the high pressure washer, without
water, during 10 seconds, the delivery pipe of the pump being opened, in order to empty all the
water circuit and the pump to prevent the building of ice.
STOPPING THE ENGINE (GASOLINE)
1. Let the engine run for about 3 minutes, but do not press the gun, to let the engine cool down;
2. Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF (STOP) position [Fig. 18] and [Fig. 19];
3. Close the fuel cock [Fig. 20];
4. Slightly pull the starter rope until it becomes a bit difficult. Let it come back to initial position
[Fig. 14].
NOTE
Stopping the engine is not enough to reduce the pressure in the circuit. Press the trigger of the
gun to release the pressure in the hose. A small quantity of water is released when the trigger is
pressed.
