Faulty components must only be replaced by genuine Miele ori-
ginal spare parts. Only when these parts are fitted can Miele guaran-
tee the correct functioning and safety of the appliance.
The electrical safety of this dishwasher can only be guaranteed
when correctly earthed. If in any doubt, please have the electrical in-
stallation tested by a qualified electrician.
Please follow the advice on installation in these operating instruc-
tions and the installation plan.
Before connecting the appliance, ensure that the connection data
on the data plate (voltage, frequency and fuse rating) match the
mains electrical supply.
The dishwasher may only be operated if the door opening mechan-
ism is working correctly. Otherwise there could be a risk of danger
whilst the automatic door opening mechanism (depending on the
model) is active.
The maximum weight of the front panel that can be aligned with the
factory fitted door springs is 10–12 kg (depending on the model).
Signs that the door opening mechanism is working correctly:
- The door springs must be evenly adjusted on both sides. They are
correctly adjusted when the door remains stationary when left half
open (approx. 45° opening angle). It is also important that the door
cannot fall open.
- The door locking pins automatically retract when the door opens at
the end of the drying phase.
There must be no electrical sockets behind the dishwasher.
Danger of overheating and fire risk if the dishwasher were to be
pushed up against a plug. See "Electrical connection".
Do not connect the dishwasher to the mains electricity supply via
a multi-socket unit or an extension lead. These do not guarantee the
required safety of the appliance (e.g. danger of overheating).
Never open the casing of the dishwasher. Any contact with live
connections or tampering with the electrical or mechanical compon-
ents of the dishwasher will endanger your safety and may lead to ap-
pliance malfunctions.
