Possible Cause
The power source is not turned ON.
The power line and the cable locking

The wires on the wiring panel are
disconnected.
The blower is not secured in place.
Damaged blower wheel.
The hood is not secured in place.
A filter is not in the correct position.
The duct pipe connections are not
sealed or connected properly.
Using the wrong size of ducting.
The wind from the opened windows or
opened doors in the surrounding area
are affecting the ventilation of the hood.
Blockage in the duct opening or
ductwork.
There may be an obstruction.
Downdraft body may be installed
unevenly.
Incorrect placement of blower wiring.
Fan speed is set to 0.
Blower plug is disconnected.
No power is coming from either the
control board, blower motor, or
capacitor.

Troubleshooting
Solutions
Make sure the circuit breaker and the unit's
power is ON.
Check the power connection with the unit is
connected properly.
Make sure the wirings at the control board are
connected properly.
Make sure the wires on the control board are
connected properly.
Make sure all wires are properly connected to
the wiring panel.
Tighten the blower in place.
Replace the blower.
Check the installation of the hood.
Adjust the filters until the whistling stops.
Check the duct pipe connections to be sure all
connections are sealed properly.
Change the ducting to the correct size.
Close all the windows and doors to eliminate the
outside wind flow.
Remove all the blocking from the duct work or
duct opening.
Clear any obstructions.
Ensure downdraft body is properly leveled.
Confirm correct wiring to blower. Correct the
blower wiring; refer to page 26.
Change fan speed to 1-3.
Connect blower plug.
Replace the part and test the functionality
starting with the control board first.
