It can be mounted on the left or right side of the blower housing, and the wiring from the electronics box is long enough to be repositioned to the backside of the downdraft.

When converted, the downdraft functions as a recirculating downdraft rather than an exhaust downdraft. Fumes and exhaust from cooking are drawn and filtered by an optional charcoal filter.
