35. Using the corresponding hex key, remove the thru-

36. Install the front wheel into the fork ensuring the
disc brake is located between the brake pads in the

37. Lightly grease the shaft of the thru-axle and slide it
through the fork from the left (non-drive) side of the
bicycle.
CAUTION: Do not grease the threads on
the thru-axle.
38. Using a torque wrench and corresponding hex bit,
tighten (clockwise) the thru-axle to the specified
torque setting found on the axle and/or in the user

axle pinch bolt. Follow the component manual
guidance and torque this bolt to specification.
DROPPER SEATPOST EXTENSION
For shipping, the dropper post is installed in the lowest
position in the frame with the upper tube in the low
position. Before adjusting the saddle height, you
need to extend the dropper post to the fully extended
position.
40. Place the thumb of one hand on the dropper post
lever and the other hand on the saddle.
41. Use your thumb to push the dropper post lever, then
use your hand to control the upward movement of
the saddle when extending the dropper post.
CAUTION: Always use your hand to
control the upward movement of the seat
post when not riding. Failure to do this
could result in minor or moderate injuries.
SEATPOST MINIMUM INSERTION
To prevent damage to the frame or seatpost, it's crucial
to have a minimum amount of seatpost inserted in
the seat tube. This minimum insertion must meet the
following requirements:
42. The seatpost must be inserted into the frame
deep enough so the minimum insertion/maximum
extension (min/max) mark, where applicable, on the
seatpost is not visible (A).
43. The seatpost must also be inserted into the seat
tube deep enough to meet or exceed (B) the
minimum measured insertion depth required by the
frame (C).
