About LANC @
LANC
stands for Local Area Network Control. The LANC @ jack is
used for controlling the tape transport of video equipment and
peripherals connected to it. This connector has the same function as
jacks indicated as CONTROL L or REMOTE.
Setting the LANC mode
The LANC mode setting determines which VCR controls the other. Set
the LANC S/M
switch on the rear panel so that the recording VCR
becomes the controlling VCR: set the recording VCR to LANC mode M
and the playback VCR to LANC mode S. Sony brand camcorders
should be set to LANC mode S.
