ENGINE AIR FILTER CLEANING
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Engage the parking brake with the pedal (84) and the lever
(76).
3.
Turn the ignition key (69) to "0".
4.
Open the hood (23) and secure it with the support rod (55).
5.
Release the two fasteners (A, Fig. 27) and remove the air
fi lter cover (B).
6.
Remove the air fi lter (A, Fig. 28).
7.
In a suitable area, clean the air fi lter (A, Fig. 28) with
compressed air (maximum 6 Bar), blowing from inside to
outside (opposite direction of the air intake).
Clean paper fi lter with water or detergents can seriously
damage it. If the fi lter is damaged, replace it. Replace the
fi lter every 150-200 hours.
Clean also the debris drain hose (C, Fig. 27).
8.
Install the fi lter in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the installation direction; the fi lter cannot be
installed in the opposite direction.
ENGINE COOLING FINS CLEANING
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Engage the parking brake with the pedal (84) and the lever
(76).
3.
Turn the ignition key (69) to "0".
4.
Remove the screws (48), then disengage the fasteners
(49) to remove the left side bulkhead (47).
5.
Open the hood (23) and secure it with the support rod (55).
6.
Remove the screws (45), then disengage the fasteners
(46) to remove the engine guard (44).
7.
Clean the cooling fi ns as shown in the Diesel Engine
Manual.
8.
Install the components in the reverse order of removal.
