In horizontal accesses or on any occasion where it is necessary, the PIN6 can be removed during recovery operations.
For disassembly, carry out the above operations in reverse order, taking particular care NEVER to move or remove the SCPH
device from the anchor, with the fall arrest supports and systems mounted on the device.
5 USE
Before each use, check that your work area and the fall arrest protection system meet all the criteria defined in section 3 and
that you are aware of and understand all the restrictions in par. 2.
Also make sure that you are aware of and apply the rescue plan foreseen in the procedure.
Inspect the complete device in accordance with Par. 6. and in particular check that the date of next inspection is not exceeded.
Do not use and disable the device if inspection reveals a dangerous or defective condition.
6 CONTROLS, INSPECTIONS and MAINTENANCE
The Genesi SCPH Complete Device must be inspected by the end user before each use and by a competent person other than the
end user at least once every 12 months. The inspection procedures are described in the sheet and checklist in Table 1. The results of
the periodic inspections must be appropriately recorded in the Control Sheet.

EN 365: competent person for periodic inspection - A person who is aware of the current periodic inspection requirements, recommendations

and instructions issued by the manufacturer applicable to the relevant component, subsystem or system. Note 1: This person should be able to
identify and assess the extent of defects, should initiate the corrective action to be taken and should have the skills and resources to do so.
Maintenance technician of authorised facility - A person appropriately trained by Genesi to repair Genesi SC Systems and employed in an

Authorised Centre.

If the environmental conditions of use are not ordinary, a closer inspection frequency should be considered to ensure the proper functioning of the
device
Only Genesi or Genesi-authorised centres and maintenance technicians who have completed a specific course are authorised to repair
Genesi SC systems. Repair maintenance instructions are provided specifically during these courses.
The service life of Genesi SC systems is typically 10 years. The service life depends on the conditions of use and proper storage and
maintenance. The system may remain in service as long as it meets the inspection criteria in this manual.
The device must be subjected to the following operations after each use:
CLEANING: clean the system components with a soft cloth and, if necessary, warm water and a mild detergent. Ensure
that the parts are completely rinsed with clean water and allowed to air dry before storage.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:

when not in use, the device must be stored together with the fall arrest equipment with which it is used, in a cool, dry
and clean environment, away from direct sunlight.

Avoid areas with chemical vapours.
After a long idle period, carefully inspect the components.
o

Avoid shocks or impacts during assembly, disassembly, handling and storage. Protective bags are available for
transport to facilitate safe transportation, or where possible, use the original packaging.
PRODUCT WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Unless otherwise specified by local laws or written agreements with the manufacturer, Genesi SC fall protection products are warranted
against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two years from the date of manufacture or first use by the original owner.
To extend the additional warranty it is essential to register the device by contacting Genesi by email at info@genesiprotection.com.
The warranty must be requested by written communication to the same address above, Genesi will repair or replace the device if a
manufacturing or material defect is detected. Genesi reserves the right to request the return of the product or to carry out an inspection
for the evaluation of the warranty claim.
This warranty does not cover damage caused to the system by wear and tear, abuse, misuse, transportation or failure to maintain
the product, incorrect storage or other damage beyond Genesis' control.
Genesi and the maintainers appropriately authorized in writing are the only ones who will be able to judge the conditions of the system
and the warranty options. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is the only one applicable to fall protection products.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the extent permitted by local law, Genesi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or
consequential damages including, without limitation, damages for loss of profit, in any way related to the products regardless of the
