The function is managed differently depending on the operating mode chosen by the user:
> MANUAL: when the economy tariff is available, the water heater works at the temperature
set by the user. Conversely, if the economy tariff is unavailable, the water heater works at a
temperature of 45°C.
N.B.: if only a single economy time slot is entered that is valid for the entire day, the water
heater will maintain the temperature set by the user for the entire period.
> ECO: when the economy tariff is available, the water heater works at the temperature set by
the user. Conversely, if the economy tariff is unavailable, the water heater works at the tem-
perature set through the ECO function.
N.B.: if only a single economy time slot is entered that is valid for the entire day, the water
heater will maintain the temperature set by the user for the entire period.
> PROGRAMMED: when the economy tariff is available, the water heater works at a maximum
temperature ranging between the programmed temperature and 45°C. Conversely, if the
economy tariff is unavailable, the water heater works at the programmed temperature. The
programmed temperature ranges between 16°C and the temperature set by the user.
N.B.: if only a single economy time slot is entered that is valid for the entire day, the water
heater will maintain the minimum temperature of 45°C for the entire period.

EXTERNAL CONTACTS
The water heater can be connected to a photovoltaic system or to a system that manages
domestic energy. Depending on the size of the photovoltaic system and personal requirements,
two inputs are available:
> IN_1 → the ABYLEOS HOME+ water heater can reach a maximum temperature of 80°C at a
power level of 1500 W.
> IN_2 → the ABYLEOS HOME+ water heater can reach a maximum temperature of 80°C at a
power level of 3000 W.
If there is no signal, the water heater adopts the operating modes chosen by the user.
To use the "External Contacts" function alone, simply set the water heater to "Programmed"
mode by leaving the time slots empty.
WARNING! It is important to note that in this configuration, the water heater works only when
there is the signal from the external contact, which could influence the continuity of the comfort.
To have the water heater managed by the inverter of the photovoltaic system or by a system
that manages domestic energy, simply connect two cables (with recommended gauge between
0.75 mm² and 1.5 mm²) between the auxiliary contact of the external device (normally termed the
Dry-Contact*) and one of the two input terminals "IN_1 or IN_2" (Fig. 7a / 7c, Ref. D) of the water
heater.
It is not necessary to access the home's electrical enclosure nor observe any pole markings
when making the connection or install any external relay.
WARNING! Before making the electrical connection or performing any operation, disconnect
the water heater from the mains power.
* First verify that the devices have an auxiliary output with a dry contact in the NO (Normally
Open) position.
