Electrical safety

Jacuzzi ® hydromassage products are safe appliances, manu-
factured in compliance with EN 60335.2.60, EN 61000 and
EN 55014 norms and approved by the Istituto di Certifi-
cazione TÜV (Certifying Institute). All products are tested
during production to guarantee the customer's safety.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in com-
pliance with the national provisions in force and this personnel
must be authorized to carry out installation.
It is the installer's responsibility to select materials
according to their use, to carry out operations cor-
rectly, and to check the condition of the network to
which the appliance is to be connected and its suit-
ability for guaranteeing user safety.
The Twin Tower/Aulica Twin combination tub/showers are Class
"I" appliances, and must be anchored securely and permanent-
ly connected to the electric network and earth system without
any intermediate connections.
The electrical and earth system for the appliance
must be efficient and in conformity with the legal re-
quirements and specific national regulations.
For connection to the electric network, it is necessary to install
a disconnecting multiple-pole switch, placing it in an area
that complies with the safety prescriptions for bathrooms.
This standard multiple-pole switch must guarantee a contact
opening of at least 3 mm and be suitable for voltages of 220-
240V and currents up to 16A.
In accordance with regulations, the switch and oth-
er electrical devices must be located in an area that
cannot be reached by the person using the appli-
ance.
The installation of electrical devices and appliances (sockets,
switches, etc.) in bathrooms must comply with the legal re-
quirements and standards of each country. In particular, no elec-
trical installation is permitted within 60 cm of the shower en-
closure or at a height of less than 225 cm.

Connection to the electrical system in the shower enclosure u-
nit must be made using a sheathed cable with characteristics not
less than H 05 VV-F 3x2,5 mm

The electric network of the building must be e-
quipped with a 0.03 A differential switch.
Twin Tower/Aulica Twin combination tub/showers are equipped
with a terminal, fitted on the framework and marked with the
symbol , for the equipotential connection of the surrounding
metal masses, as stipulated by the EN 60335.2.60 standards.
JACUZZI EUROPE S.p.A. declines all responsibility in the follow-
ing cases:
Installation is undertaken by unqualified personnel and/or by
personnel who are not authorised to carry out installation.
If the norms and provisions of law, regarding the electric sys-
tems of buildings, in force in the country in which installation
is carried out are not complied with.
If the instructions for installation and maintenance contained
in this manual are not followed.
If unsuitable and/or uncertified materials are used for installation.
If the installation of the Twin Tower/Aulica Twin combination
tub/showers does not comply with the regulations mentioned
above.
If incorrect operations are performed that reduce the level of
protection of the electrical equipment against jets of water or
modify the protection against electrocution due to direct or in-
direct contacts, or produce conditions of isolation, current
leakage or overheating.
If any components or parts of the appliance are altered in re-
lation to the original state when supplied, causing the Manu-
facturer's liability to become null and void.
If the appliance is repaired by unauthorised personnel or if s-
pare parts are used other than the original ones supplied by
Jacuzzi Europe S.p.A.
