To Remove the Battery Pack from the Tool
1. Press the release button
out of the tool handle.
2. Insert battery pack into the charger as described in the
charger section of this manual.
Fuel Gauge Battery Packs (Fig. B)
Some D
WALT battery packs include a fuel gauge which consists
e
of three green LED lights that indicate the level of charge
remaining in the battery pack.
To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the fuel gauge
button
 13 
. A combination of the three green LED lights will
illuminate designating the level of charge left. When the level of
charge in the battery is below the usable limit, the fuel gauge
will not illuminate and the battery will need to be recharged.
nOTE: The fuel gauge is only an indication of the charge left on
the battery pack. It does not indicate tool functionality and is
subject to variation based on product components, temperature
and end‑user application.
OPERATION
Instructions for Use

WARNING: Always observe the safety instructions and
applicable regulations.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start-up can cause injury.

WARNING: Do not operate blower without tube securely
in place. Never reach down into housing through
tube hole.

WARNING: Always slide the lock-on button to the locked
position and remove the battery when:
You leave blower unattended.
Checking, adjusting, cleaning, or working
on blower.
Proper Hand Position (Fig. F)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a
sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the extension
attachment 
, with the other hand on the main handle

Switching On (Fig. F, G)

CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at self
or bystanders.

CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses. Wear a filter mask
if the operation is dusty. Use of gloves, long pants and
substantial footwear is recommended. Keep long hair and
loose clothing away from openings and moving parts.
To turn the blower on, depress the variable speed trigger 
As trigger is pulled from min to max position (or full off
to full on), the airflow from the blower will increase from
minimum to maximum.
Release the trigger fully to turn the blower off.
To lock the blower on, press the lock‑on button 
variable speed trigger 
turn the blower off when using the lock‑on button, pull the
trigger to release the lock.
Hold the blower with both hands, and sweep from side to
side with tube output end several centimetres above the
hard surface. Slowly advance keeping the accumulated pile
of debris in front of you. Refer to Proper Hand Position.
Speed Selection (Fig. A, H
The three speed toggle switch 
that can be achieved when trigger is fully depressed.
Push the toggle switch forward to increase air flow; pull it
backwards to decrease air flow.
MAINTENANCE
Your power tool has been designed to operate over a long
period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous
satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and
regular cleaning.
