STERILISING ON COMMISSIONING, IMPLEMENTING AQA CLEAN CT (AS OPTION)
Did you know that the various types of water-borne pollution can reduce the resin exchange capacity of the
softener by up to 50% and halve the service life of your equipment?
Bacteria, dirt, organic materials and minerals are all foreign bodies that can accumulate on the resin andprevent
operations from running smoothly.
To keep the resin clean, achieve better quality water and increase the protection of your softener, BWT has
developed the AQAClean CT kit to meet this demand (follow the usage instructions delivered with the AQA
CLEAN CT KIT)
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Periodically check the TH and the raw water and softened water chlorides and make consequent modifications,
if necessary, to the softener regeneration parameters.
Whenever necessary, refill the salt tank. The salt level must always be greater than that of the water contained
in the salt tank without exceeding the top of the brine well so as to leave free access to the brine regulator.
At least once every 6 months: take advantage of refilling the salt tank to empty, clean and disinfect it, after
refilling with salt, by introducing bleach into the brine regulator chimney.
POWER CUT
- The A5X control unit screen goes dark.
- The solenoid valves are no longer fed with power.
- The flow calculations and the averages are still taken into account by the microprocessor.
- If the power cut occurs during a regeneration this stops, the equipment returns to service. When power
returns, the interrupted regeneration restarts at the start of the stopped phase.
WARNING SIGNAL
Electrical power failure: the warning switch is triggered. The switch remains active even after the power is
restored. In order to reboot it one must press the «Mode» button (press for at least 5 seconds) and to skip
through the various program steps in order to verify that no data has been lost.
Pressure loss: the warning switch is triggered. The switch is automatically restored to its previous state once
a correct pressure is restored. If the pressure drop takes place during regeneration the countdown of the
regeneration time is blocked and resumed only when the pressure is restored.
Low salt level: the warning switch is triggered. The switch is restored to its original position once the default
has been remedied and then by pressing the «Mode» button.
MAINTENANCE
Some components undergo normal ageing inherent to the operation of the appliance. These components,
also called operating and/or wearing parts must be regularly replaced by someone qualified and authorised
to perform this operation.
The operating and wearing parts are excluded from our general guarantee conditions (unless excepted
or in special cases).
The replacement frequency is determined in accordance with the equipment installation and operating condi-
tions. A visual examination of the appliance must be done at least once a year to determine the condition of
the connections, connectors, display, etc...
