ADJUSTING THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
The BWT PERLA PRO XXL range valves' control system hydraulic
pilots should be adjusted on commissioning depending on the
pressure of the water to be treated and the type of equipment.
The hydraulic control system is fitted with 6 pilots (see diagram
opposite).
Pilots
-
-
and ❻ are adjustable flow rate so as to
be able to adapt the hydraulic of the type of softener installed
(resin beds).
To make this adjustment slightly loosen the 3 slot head screws on
each pilot to be adjusted and grasp the knurled part. There are
fi ve marks: I -II - III - IIII - IIIII (position I corresponding to almost
complete closure).
The flow rate for all regeneration operations is adjustable. Howe-
ver that for backwashing
The table below shows the theoretical flow rate needed for both these operations as a function of the equip-
ment type and the chart allows this setting to be determined as a function of the mains pressure.
Example: For a BWT PERLA PRO XXL range softener operating at mains pressure of 5 bars,
- backwashing adjustment: 125 l/min
(pilot ❺) on mark III,
- fast rinsing adjustment: 142 l/min
(pilot ❻) on mark IIII
NOTA:
In all cases (equipment type and mains
pressure) pilots 2 and 1 must be set on position IIIII.

CONNECTION TO THE MAINS WATER SUPPLY
With valves uphill - downstream closed, by-pass open, start a regeneration by pressing the «Regeneration»
button on the A5X-CONTROL electronic unit.
Open valve uphill slowly to allow purging of air contained in the installation. Once the air is purged completely
open uphill. Also purge the brine regulator by pushing on the float road (hold the rod at the bottom).
Open valve downstream then close valve by-pass.
Leave the softener regeneration.
Once regeneration is complete check the equipment seals.
Check the TH and chlorides in the softened water.
Modify the slow and/or fast rinsing times if necessary. Set the residual TH valve D if appropriate.
NOTA :
it is under the user's responsibility to define the residual hardness compatible with the equipment
installed downstream of the softener.
