REGENERATION WATER DRAINAGE
Drainage of softener regeneration water must be done using the hose rep 3.
This hose being in pressure during regeneration, it must be fixed to the softener connector using the collar sup-
plied. Also provide fixing for this hose along its length so as to avoid any force being applied to the softener valve.
The regeneration water drain pipe must use the shortest and simplest route possible. It must allow the drainage
at the flow to 50 at 200 l/mn with one pressure loss (free flow) not exceed 3 metres water colum (0,3 bar).
type
Flow in liters/minute
In accordance with the requirements of the sanitary regulations, a pressure break at least equal to 2 cm must
be provided between the softener pipe and the drain pipe.
In the event of drainage through a recovery sump and a lifting pump, dimension the equipment so as to avoid
risks of flooding the room (in the event of unexpected stoppage of the lifting pump during regeneration).
WARNING :
In the event of a power outage during a regeneration, the flow to the softener sewer is not
stopped.
SALT TANK OVERFLOW DRAIN
The salt tank is fitted with a safety overflow that must be connected into either a gutter or a drain collector.
The discharge must be done by gravity without pressure loss. It is imperative that a pressure break of at
least 2 cm is created in accordance with sanitary regulations.
BRINE REGULATOR CONNECTION
The brine regulator is situated in the brine well (grey PVC cylinder) inside the salt tank. Connect the hose
supplied to the regulator (wing nut) and to the softener.
THE BYPASS REMOVAL
In regeneration the softener is by-passed automatically to
continue to produce water (assembly with bypass). During
the entire period of this regeneration the water leaving the
softener is hard water (hardness identical to that of the
water to be treated).
For particular applications, it may be necessary to perform
a deletion of this bypass (mounting without bypass).
It is necessary to modify the hydraulic connection of valves
1 (raw water by-pass) & 3 (softened water outlet) as shown
in the diagram.
CONNECTION OF THE ALTERNATION KIT (OPTIONAL)
In the alternating version, a hydraulic alternation kit is provided allowing the switching of each softener
(one softener in service, the other in regeneration or waiting).
Fit the hydraulic valves supplied with the kit to the outlet of each softener.
Attach the alternation dispenser to the wall. It is necessary to create a tapped thread in 1/4'' in order to
have a pressure tap upstream softeners allowing the control of the alternating device. Refer to the specific
technical instructions provided with the option.
