Setup
Turn the case cover on the backside of the bathroom clock to the left and pull it from the back of the
case. Insert a 1.5V AA R6/LR6 battery into the battery compartment on the backside of the clock in
the correct polarity. The hands of the clock will move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00 position
and stop. Now the bathroom clock will begin to receive the DCF77 radio signal. This process can
take from 3-10 minutes. Temperature and humidity will alternate on the display. If the signal
reception is successful, the hands will automatically move to the correct time.
Note: Use a pointed tool to press the buttons if necessary (SET, REC, RESET).
If radio signal reception is unsuccessful, the bathroom clock will repeat the reception attempt every
hour. You may also manually restart radio signal reception by pressing the REC button on the
backside of the clock for 5 seconds. The hands will again move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or
8:00:00 position and the bathroom clock will attempt to receive the DCF77 radio signal.
Note: If the bathroom clock does not function after inserting the batteries, please remove and
reinsert the batteries or press RESET.
Manual time setting
This feature cannot be used while the bathroom clock is attempting to receive the radio signal (hands on 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00). Press
and hold the SET button on the backside of the clock for 5 seconds. The bathroom clock will switch to manual mode. Press and hold SET to move
the hands to the correct position.
Briefly pressing the SET button will cause the hands to move in steps of 1 minute. After 7 seconds of not pressing SET, the bathroom clock will exit
manual mode and the time will run normally.
Reset
In case of an error, the bathroom clock can by reset by pressing and holding the RESET button on the backside of the clock for 5 seconds. The
hands will again move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00 position and the bathroom clock will attempt to receive the DCF77 radio signal.
Reception interference
The DCF77 radio signal is transmitted from the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main and can be received within a radius of about 1500 km. However,
there are some sources of interference that may greatly hinder reception.
If your wall clock does not correctly receive the radio signal, hang the wall clock in a different location. Please note, that the electromagnetic
waves that may occur near computers, telephones, radios and TVs can interfere with DCF77 radio reception. Strong building insulation (metal
building elements), mountains or atmospheric interference can also hinder reception. Replace the batteries if necessary.
Thermometer / Hygrometer
The bathroom clock has a digital display at the 6 o'clock position, which shows the temperature and humidity alternatingly in 20-second
intervals. After unpacking the bathroom clock, it may take some time before the temperature and humidity sensors have adjusted to their new
surroundings and correct values are displayed.
