Example
The following will be specified based on the function mapping table:
If the value 1 is entered in CV33, then Function F0 switches on all LED circuit boards connected to the
„Lighting 1" pads (function output f0f of the decoder). Note, though, that this only applies when moving
forward. To switch the „Lighting" pad with F0 when moving in reverse as well, enter the value 1 for CV34.
GB
If the value 2 is entered in CV35, then Function F1 switches on all LED circuit boards connected to the
„Lighting 2" pads (function output f0r of the decoder).
If the value 4 is entered in CV36, then Function F2 switches on all LED circuit boards connected to the
„Lighting 3" pads (function output AUX1 of the decoder).
If the value 1 is entered in CV37, then Function F3 switches on all LED circuit boards connected to the
„Lighting 4" pads (function output AUX2 of the decoder).
Functions F4 through F6 can only be used to switch on the LED circuit boards connected to the „Lighting
4" pads.
With some Plux16 decoders, problems can occur when reading out the CVs, as these require a
motor to generate the acknowledge. In this case, we recommend the POM mode with Railcom
feedback for reading.
AC/Motorola Installation
The following will also be needed for the AC/Motorola installation:
▪ 40500 Pick-up shoe,
▪ 106994 Pick-up shoe spacer,
▪ 4 AC wheel sets of the corresponding size: 40196 (pair with 11mm; same as ET No. 85603)
Upon request, dealers will exchange new DC wheel sets (in particular, directly when buying a wagon)
with the corresponding AC axles. The pick-up shoe spacers are placed on both pins on the underside of
only one bogie and glued in place there: It acts as bracket and protection against twisting for the pick-up
shoe. In the middle of the spacer there is a hole in which the screw for the pick-up shoe is screwed in.
Two poles are required for the Lighting Set 40420, one of which must be the „ground" pole as shown in
Fig. 5 on the left or right side, which is picked up by one bogie through the wheel contacts. The „center
conductor" pole comes from the pick-up shoe of the other (pick-up shoe) bogie using the wire soldered
to the pick-up shoe. The wire is routed upwards (provided that a ground connection on the corresponding
wagon is not already fed upwards via pre-installed contacts using so-called metal axle bearing pads)
through prefabricated holes in the floor of the wagon or - if no holes have been provided- directly through
the hollow pivots.
