Installation
The Lighting Set is powered via soldering pads A and B (see Fig.1). All soldering pads A are electrically
connected to each other, and all soldering pads B are also electrically connected to each other.
The 40420 interior lighting set basically consists of a Base board with simultaneously contacted LED
circuit board gondolas clamped under it. Due to the contact terminals, the LED circuit boards operate
electrically between a power supply contact (+) and a group contact (see page 2).
If one of the LED circuit board strips is inserted with the connection poles reversed, then it will not oper-
ate. However, this will not destroy any other components.
In analog operation, all group contacts can be used as desired, i.e. all LED´s will be lit regardless of the
position of the strip. A so-called bridge connector (commonly used with locomotives) is not necessary in
analog operation. For the operation of the Lighting set, it is necessary to use a (main board) base board
with a length of 145 mm with the control electronics. If the base board is shorted at one of the four pre-
marked locations, then the „other" sections cannot be used individually as lighting for other wagons.
