5. Installation dimensions /

NOTE!
Prior to fitting, use the dimensions
mentioned above to check whether
fitting the BWT Quick & Clean filter
system is possible in the intended
space (Fig. III).
6. Installation (Fig. IV)
Prior to fitting, ensure that all parts are present
(Pack contents Fig. I).
Proceed as follows to install the BWT Quick
& Clean filter system:
A) Unscrew the existing shower hose,
including the shower head from the
fitting. (Fig. A).
B) Insert washer (Fig. B, Item 1) into nut
(Fig. B, Item 2 ) and attach the BWT Quick
& Clean filter system to the shower fitting
by turning the nut clockwise. Do not over
tighten
C) Insert a second washer (Fig. C, Item 1)
into the hose fitting (if necessary) and
connect the shower hose to the connec-
tion thread (Fig. C, Item 7). Do not over
tighten.
D) Now open the water tap and test whether
the connections are watertight. The BWT
Quick & Clean filter system is now ready
for use (Fig. D).

NOTE!
During installation, please only use
appropriate tools to prevent damage
to the filter system.
Please note that, depending on the
mounting of the BWT Quick & Clean
filter system, the route of the shower
hose may need to change.

7. Operation (Fig. V)

NOTE!
Before starting to use the BWT Quick
& Clean filter system, please clean
your shower or bath tub thoroughly to
remove limescale and soap residue.
Proceed as follows:
Shower as usual.
E) Before rinsing the shower or tub, turn the
water to cold or lukewarm on the fitting
(maximum 50 °C) (Fig. E).
F) Whilst the water is flowing, activate the
filter by pressing the button (Fig. F). Inside
the BWT Quick & Clean filter system,
the water now flows through the filter
cartridge and is decalcified.
G) Now rinse all surfaces of the shower or
bath thoroughly with the filtered water.
This should take more than 10 seconds.
To finish, simply turn off the water in the
normal way (Fig. G).
H) The filter effect is deactivated by turning
off the water and is ready for normal
showering (Fig. H).

NOTE!
It is no longer necessary to clean using
a window scraper to prevent limescale
stains.
If the BWT Quick & Clean filter system
is active, the flow of water is reduced
to 4 litres/minute. To ensure the proper
functioning of the filter system, the
input pressure should not fall below
2 bar.
