8.1. Inserting/replacing the
batt ery in the remote
control
Two 1.5 V batteries of type R03/LR03/AAA/
micro are used in the remote control.
Replace the batteries if the device fails to
react to commands from the remote control
properly. Then follow these steps:

Replace batteries only with the same or
equivalent type.
Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert the batteries so that the negative
pole contacts the springs.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
8.2. Inserting/replacing
backup batt eries
If you disconnect the device from the mains,
insert two high-quality R03/LR03/AAA/micro
batteries (not included in package contents)
to enable the time to continue to run in the
background and to retain your device set-
tings. Replace the batteries after two years at
the latest.
Open the battery cover on the underside
of the device.
Insert the batteries into the battery com-
partment as shown.
Then close the battery cover.
If the device is not going to be used for a
longer period of time, remove the batteries
from the device.

9. Sett ing up the device
Place the device and speaker on a sturdy,
level surface. Some aggressive varnishes
can corrode the rubber feet on the device.
If necessary, place the device on a suitable
underlay.
