Operation
D A N G E R
Fire/explosion hazard. Do not use the instrument with samples or
liquids that have an ignition point below 90 °C (194 °F).
W A R N I N G
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and
wear all of the personal protective equipment appropriate to the
chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current material safety data
sheets (MSDS) for safety protocols.
W A R N I N G
Personal injury hazard. Enclosed systems contain high pressure.
Qualified personnel must remove pressure from the system before the
sensor can be installed or removed.
The instrument can operate in Automatic, Manual, Pressure and
Vacuum modes. In Manual mode, set the instrument to start and end the
sampling procedure. In Automatic mode, a host particle counter sets the
instrument when to start and when to end the sampling procedure.
Automatic mode allows batch sampling. The Pressure mode pressurizes
the sample liquid for transport through the sensor. The Vacuum mode
evacuates the sample chamber and degasses the sample before
analysis.
While in automatic or manual mode, if the sight tube is almost in an
overflow condition, immediately stop the sample process and remove
power from the instrument. Do not move the chamber release/lock
handle while the instrument chamber is pressurized. Depressurize the
pressure chamber before the handle is tightened or released.
Monitor the process at all times when the instrument operates in manual
mode.
If an overflow condition occurs, immediately remove power from the
instrument and do the cleanup procedures described in the maintenance
section.
