Learning bike
group, we recommend a model equipped with
special child-appropriate brakes. These young
riders, however, still require the supervision of
an adult.
CE marking
This product complies with the European Toy
Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and therefore
bears the CE mark.
Identification plate
The identification plate is located in the centre
underneath the bike. Please record the infor-
mation on the identification plate in the cycle
passport at the end of this manual so that you
have all the information you need in the event
of any questions or when ordering spare parts.
Maintenance and care
Examine the bike regularly for any wear and
whether the screws are still properly tightened.
Self-locking nuts are stiff and must be replaced
once disassembled.
The valve caps must be firmly tightened
and kept out of reach of children (risk of
choking).
Check the air pressure of the tyres regularly
(the prescribed pressure is indicated on the
sides of the tyres). Do not repair damaged or
deformed parts. Damaged or deformed parts
must be replaced. You can purchase genuine
spare parts from your PUKY dealer or at the
PUKY spare parts shop at www.puky.de
Spare parts: Tyres (incl. inner tubes), brakes,
elastomer
Proper cleaning keeps corrosion away (rust
protection). Only use environmentally friendly
products and never use any aggressive deter-
gents. Protect the bike against de-icing salt
and avoid long-term storage in damp rooms
(e.g. garage). The learner bike may not be
cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner!
Similar to car tyres, the vulcanised natural
rubber that the tyres are made of may cause
discolouration to surfaces with which they
come into contact. Therefore please provide
adequate protection between the floor and the
tyres.
Unpacking and scope of delivery
Do not use any sharp objects when opening
the packaging and removing protective materi-
al. By doing so, you may damage the paint or
parts of the learner bike.
Keep all packaging material out of reach of
children.
z Remove all parts from the packaging.
z Remove the protective material.
z Examine the package for completeness and
proper condition. If anything is missing,
please contact your dealer before you con-
tinue to assemble the bike.
The delivery consists of (Figure A):
1. The preassembled learner bike (handlebar
turned by 90°)
2. Handlebar cushion and user manual (poly-
bag)
