Stirrer

Refer to the operating instructions for the laboratory stirrer.
The EUROSTAR power control visc P4 is ideal for a maximum viscosity of 100 000 mPas.
The standard EUROSTAR power control visc P7 is used for a maximum viscosity of 150 000 mPas. (see Technical
Data)

CAUTION:
Ensure that the reactor vessel is properly vented and can
release sufficient air!

The laboratory stirrer is a fixed component of the laboratory reactor system.
The following IKA
®
laboratory stiirers are available for this system:
• EUROSTAR power control visc P7
(or)
• EUROSTAR power control visc P4
The reactor cover is screwed onto the stirrer shaft bearing
using a thread. The reactor cover can be easily removed for
cleaning or sterilisation puposes (see Cleaning / Sterilisation).
An O-ring provides the seal between the stirrer shaft bearing
and the reactor cover.
The reactor cover is fitted with three NS 29/32 standard ground
connectors and two NS 14/23 standard ground connectors.
These connectors are screwed to the cover and sealed by O-
rings.
One of the NS 14/23 connectors is fitted with a ventilation and
air vent valve, whilst the other connectors are closed off with
DIN 12252 ball valves.
All sealing rings on the reactor cover are made of FFPM (perflu-
oroelastomer).
Dispersing elements (ULTRA TURRAX), temperature sensors,
flow breakers and other accessories can be fitted to the free con-
nectors. In order to do this, unscrew the threaded connector
plug from the cover using the pin provided and then fit the devi-
ce (e.g. LR 2000.60 temperature sensor) in its place.
The lock ring used to secure the reactor is located on the rim of
the cover.
The clamping force of the lock ring can be set when it is open
using the adjuster screw.
Hazardous pressure build-up!
