Dry cleaning of the shaving at-
tachment
Clean the 3 shaving heads 2 after each
shave using the cleaning brush 17.
1. Press the release button 4 on the shav-
ing attachment 3, so that the blade
unit 2 opens.
2. Carefully tap the blade unit 2 to empty
it.
3. Remove the hair remnants by using the
cleaning brush 17.
Wet cleaning of the blade unit
The shaving heads 2 of the shaving attach-
ment 3 can be cleaned with water.
1. Press the release button 4 on the shav-
ing attachment 3, so that the blade
unit 2 opens.
2. Clean the blade unit 2 under running
water. Allow the water to flow through
the shaving heads 2 from the inside to
the outside.
3. Allow the parts to dry completely.
4. Close the blade unit 2, so that it clicks
into place.
Thorough cleaning of the blade
unit
An integrated timer in the device adds up
shaving times. After approx. 30 minutes of
shaving, the cleaning symbol 11 starts
flashing. It reminds you of the thorough
cleaning that you should regularly perform.
If you switch off the device while the clean-
ing symbol is flashing, the timer will start
counting shaving times again from the be-
ginning.
1. Press the release button 4 on the shav-
ing attachment 3, so that the blade
unit 2 opens.
2. Figure D: pull the blade unit 2 off the
shaving attachment 3 by overextending
it.
3. Figure E: carefully turn the locking
wheel 14 marked with arrows against
the direction of the arrows, until the
holder for shaving heads 15 can be lift-
ed off.
4. Clean all parts under running water,
and then allow them to dry completely.
5. Reassemble the blade unit 2.
6. Figure F: carefully turn the locking
wheel 14 in the direction of the arrows,
until the holder for shaving heads 15
can no longer be lifted off.
7. Push the blade unit 2 and the shaving
attachment 3 back together and close
the blade unit 2, so that it clicks into
place.
8. Push the shaving attachment 3 back
onto the shaver 6 and ensure that it
clicks firmly into place.
NOTE: for thorough cleaning, an ultrasonic
bath is recommended.
7.3 Beard trimmer
attachment
•
Remove the hair remnants from the
beard trimmer attachment 1 by using
the cleaning brush 17 supplied.
•
Every 6 months or so, apply a few
drops of oil to the cutting edge of the
beard trimmer attachment 1. Using a
soft, lint-free cloth, wipe off the surplus
oil, if necessary. Only use acid-free oil
(e.g. sewing machine oil) as an alterna-
tive to the oil 18 supplied.
